Why the mental health of young people is not so good?

I am unable to understand how so many young people are getting depre$$ed and feel lonely[I'm not making a fun of them, I'm just confused], like there are so many posts on reddit and not just on social media I've seen people irl, like they all have no one to talk or they have literally 0 friends they could trust..bro I just wanted to know how are they reaching to this state..I could understand if there's a family problems or smthng related but how can't u manage to get a single good friend, if it's a girl I could understand they usually don't trust anyone very soon, but if it comes out of a guy it's hard for me to believe...and also when I suggest them to go out play sports in which u r good, and they reply none, I always get confused, like how..they say they don't have any talent, bro u won't know until u try and also you'd have to grind for it, If u see someone who's good at "something" it simply means that he has invested his "time" on that "something"...Idk what's going on, but it's bad!!

Can somebody help, what sould I do?

So basically I'm a NEET Aspirant and I didn't prepared well for my exams, It's gonna be my 1st attempt(officially atleast)...and the problem I've been suffering from is that my father(very strict person) has some unrealistic expectations from me related to studies and my routine and the reason behind it is social media(Facebook)...He's heavily influenced by his what he watches in his feed...like yk the teachers go around setting some unrealistic goals like studying 12-14 hrs per day, "I can't do that"(and I can't tell him this cause yk..) and tbh I've never met a person who studies more than 8 hrs a day consistently for an year, and the fact is he says "I'm not telling u to study all day" but whenever He's at home(He's in defence) and finds me using phone I'm done for he has never beaten me, but he gets very upset...He wants me to study all day but the same time he refuses to accept it...A study routine of 8hrs/day is nothing for him...He's like you would have to study atleast 12hrs/day then only you could achieve what you want...

I do not hate my father definitely...I've no reason to...But I don't want to disappoint him anymore...cause I've started to notice that He is now fed up of me reapeating the same mistakes...

I need some advice!!
