Saw this on FB today and nearly lost my shit laughing at work 😭🤣

Zipper came out of brumation last week (first pic 🤣) and has been exploring around more. Decided to take the initiative and redo his enclosure a bit and rearrange decorations today. Seems to be enjoying everything so far 🥰

Also finally got new measurements and Zipper is a whopping 21.5 inches and weighs in at 635g!

Zipper has been buried under the substrate since early July. I check on him weekly by misting/spraying the enclosure and usually theres a tiny bit of movement under the dirt where he's buried. He decided to poke his nose up today and drink a bit 💙

I cant wait till his brumation is over; I miss seeing his goofy little face 🥺

I've never heard of this species before until I stumbled across it last May at a reptile shop while visiting Arizona. It has quickly grown to be one of my favorites in my small collection so far.

The thing I think I love the most is how much of a "true spider" it looks like sometimes lol

6 of our 9 tarantulas got big upgrades today, which of course is prime time to get better pictures 🤭 the only one I couldn't get a pic of was my P. irminia since it refused to come out of their cork bark 🙄

In order of appearance:

Cranberry (B. horrida), Grape (T. albo), Lucifer (B. boehmei), Cherry (A. avicularia), and Spike (C. darlingi)

Caught Zipper chilling like this when I got home then got the most judgemental side eye. Does anyone else's gremlins sit in weird positions? 😂😂

Picked up this TINY little Lasiocyano sazimai from a reptile expo on saturday and decided to try a small meal today.

Little speck happily took its teeny tiny hornworm offering and went into 4-wheel drive (2nd pic) 😂💙 cant wait to see it grow eventually lol
