Alcohol is a necessary evil.
This opinion comes from me as an older millennial. I’m not sure if it’s actually true or just anecdotal evidence from the media and reddit, but younger generations have cut back on drinking alcohol when compared to people my age. There is also a feeling of loneliness and difficulty with dating and relationships with this same group. The problem. People need to drink alcohol!
Yes I know there is addiction and health issues, but alcohol is a great way to loosen a persons inhibitions enough to engage with other people in a way that most sober people don’t.
This is more and more obvious as a large percentage of my friends are either married or in long term relationships. And the common theme throughout almost every single partnership is that alcohol is a major factor in why they are together in the first place. Whether they met at a party or made a phone call after one too many glasses of wine, alcohol always seems to come up.
So basically, younger generations need to start drinking more or stop complaining about not being able to find a partner
