When I oil my new CMP stock do I oil the insides of the wood where the receiver and metal parts sit? Not sure if that alters the fit of the assembly.

Leaning BLO for eventual patina even though I live in a high humidity area. Any tips for high humidity application?

Confident enough on methodology after spending some time on garandgear.com but didn’t know if humidity changed approach.
