How my snowboarding season ended
Went out for a “last trip” on a 65 degree, slushy, day and after only 30 mins, got a swift trip down the mountain by ski patrol followed by a trip to the ER.
Dislocated my shoulder, had to go to the ER to get it reduced, got some X-rays showing a greater tuberosity fracture and glenoid fracture.
Had to be in a sling for 4 weeks to heal the greater tuberosity fracture then had a latarjet surgery on 4/2, had to be in a sling for another 6 weeks.
Fun way to end the ski season!
I work in medical device sales, providing orthopedic devices to patients, and I always tell my patients that I hope they never need a shoulder surgery and then I went and did it again, to the same shoulder…
