Delhi heat makes even small kaam feel like a mission

Went out for one small kaam and immediately regretted being overconfident.

Delhi heat doesn’t even wait. Gate se main road tak mood kharab ho jata hai.

Cab is hot, metro walk is hot, waiting is hot, road crossing is hot, even shade feels fake sometimes.

And still people are going office, gym, markets, dates, weddings, everything.

Respect only honestly.

People who workout before office, how are you managing the full day?

Genuine question.

Morning workout sounds very sorted in theory, but gym + shower + commute + office makes the day feel too long.

How do you manage clothes, sweat, food, tiredness, and not feeling dead by afternoon?

Do you carry half your house in your bag or is there some system I’m missing?

Fresh fragrances in humid weather never last on me

I like fresh/aquatic/clean fragrances but in humid weather they either disappear very fast or start smelling slightly weird after a while.

Does anyone else face this?

Not looking for some beast mode perfume. Just something that still feels clean after a few hours in heat/humidity.

Mumbai commute is actually a full workout only

People outside Mumbai don’t realise how much the commute takes out of you.

You leave home thinking okay normal day, then there is walking, station crowd, train scene, humidity, someone’s bag hitting you, random delay, auto/cab drama, and by the time you reach office/college you already feel like half the day is done.

And still you have to sit and behave normally like nothing happened.

Everyone just says “haan travel tha thoda.”

Bro that was not travel. That was a proper event.

Chandigarh after rain is beautiful but also a footwear exam

Chandigarh after rain looks so nice for exactly 5 minutes.

Then you actually have to walk somewhere and suddenly it becomes a game of choosing which tile/road patch will not betray you.

The city looks clean and peaceful, but your shoes are fighting for their life.

Still very pretty though. Annoyingly pretty.

Kolkata humidity has no chill

Kolkata weather is so funny because from inside the house it always looks manageable.

Then you step out and within 7 minutes you’re like okay, understood, I was overconfident.

The humidity doesn’t even feel dramatic. It just slowly ruins your plans. Shirt sticks, hair gives up, face becomes oily, and somehow everyone is still out doing normal things like office, college, market, adda, everything.

And we all pretend this is normal weather.

It is not normal. We have just adapted.

Anyone else enjoy the second smell more than the first?

The first spray is nice.

But my favourite part is randomly catching a faint whiff of it six hours later and remembering I'm wearing it.

That's usually the moment I decide whether I actually like a fragrance or not.

Has anyone else's tolerance for Mumbai humidity completely disappeared?

Moved to Mumbai from Kolkata about a year ago. Which makes this question slightly embarrassing because Kolkata isn't exactly known for pleasant weather either.

But I swear I've become less capable of dealing with humidity as I've gotten older. It's not even the commute.

Sometimes it's literally the walk from the cab to the office building. Or standing outside for 5 minutes waiting for an Uber. I remember doing far worse as a student without thinking twice.

Now I find myself checking the weather before decciding what to wear. Have I become soft or does everyone reach a point where humidity starts winning?
