Reasons:

1. Why? Either she betray Phanes and help the Tsaritsa, or she uphold her duty, fight and got killed, or for whatever reason, she sacrifice. Who says Phanes can't just create another Ronova? They could create the shades in the past, why not again? What's the point?
2. The Tsaritsa want to usurp the rulership of Phanes, then why kill Ronova? Why the extra step, why don't just deal with the Phanes directly? For the sake of the plot?
3. Just look at once weekly bosss characters, now PLAYABLE characters: Childe, Scaramouche, Raiden Shogun, Arlecchino. You fight them as bosses, do they die afterward? Are they all absolutely good? Even Rerir didn't end up dead after Nod-Krai AQ. Or what, so she will die, by doing her job, because of a rebellious archon? She must die just like Dottore must die?
4. In what kind of sense can Mihoyo make to get her killed? The majority of the player base can be ultra satisfied with the story? Mihoyo will gain billions of dollars? Genshin become GOTY?
5. Sure, go ahead, just have her dead. Either she will sacrifice herself: OMG everyone is awed. OMG so emotional, must protect, must remember Ronova, must wait, must save, must pull. What the fuck? I thought the main stage IS Snezhnaya, not one of the Shades? Or she turns evil: For 4 years we barely know her just through lore from books, then finally the Shades were introduced in an animated trailer, everyone is excited for the shades, OK next step, now she is evil? What kind of story telling bullshit is that? So she's the villain, the weekly boss that we must kill, not the other one that litterally is a fucking sinner.
