Reoccurring Hernia/CT Scan

Hiya, as the title states, I have an umbilical hernia that was patched up years ago. Recently, I did what happens to us all, moved some heavy boxes, and felt the pain of doom just like years ago. Only difference is that I don’t have a visible bulge. An urgent care and ER visit later, all the doctors and physicians are stating that there is nothing visible or to be felt physically. I was adamant that they look at me anyways. We do a CT scan and it comes back “inconclusive “ and they haven’t found anything, but recommended me to a surgeons office. The surgeon immediately finds it and scheduled me for surgery asap. I finally got ahold of my ct scans and I’ll attach them. I don’t know if I’m crazy but it looks like the most obvious hernia to me. Anywho, I say all of this to say never let them tell you that you’re crazy or imagining your pain. I knew what it was for sure because I’ve already had a hernia and was hip to the feeling of the pain lol. You know your body, you know when something is wrong and don’t be afraid to get a different opinion. It took me 4 different facilities and 10 different physicians, doctors, and specialists to finally get someone to believe me.

TLDR: if you think something’s up, even if it isn’t visible and you’re uncertain, don’t be afraid to get it checked out or a different opinion. The worst you could do is take what they say as fact and end up injured more than ever in the future.
