My take on MARVEL RIVALS Lore accurate tierlist 9.5
Firstly, this is based on the variants of the characters active in marvel rivals, however, I will draw from some comic sources to a logical degree because the lore of marvel rivals isn't detailed enough. And we all know comics are just so known for their consistent writing. I'm also a filthy casual so I don't know everything lol I did this in 5 mins. Also if the character has large influence, such as being a regent of a country like BP, Magik or a genius like Reed and tony, I will take that into account when ranking them. After all, it's an important aspect of their character.
cosmic - cosmic entities or characters that can affect reality. Adam warlock phoenix and wanda are pretty self explanatory. Adam was the living tribunal space jesus, phoenix is phoenix, and wanda can manipulate reality. Loki is the god of stories, which was mentioned in the voice line between him and whitefox. In the comics, when he became the god of stories he could manipulate reality, so I assume this goes for the game. And squirrel girl slimed thanos.
World breaking - People who can destroy the world (or worlds). Omega level mutants, Magic man, and the Asgardians. I'm quite hesitant to put thor, angela and hela below loki to be honest, I feel like as siblings of the same caliber, they should be in the same tier? Also, all of them would absolutely beat loki in single combat. But I don't think loki would put himself in the position to be beat by his siblings. Only loki was stated to be able to manipulate reality. I'm not very well versed in rival's venom, so maybe I should've move him lower. And ultron my goat has a wholeass galactic army. As for hulk, I'm not sure? which? hulk? is in rivals??? there are so many hulks but I'll put him here because I'm scared of hulk mains.
Country bangers - Be it because of power, influence, or just being a filthy t*lepath, these people could topple a country by themselves. I was honestly thinking of putting whitefox here because she like??? the director of korean shield?? But I don't know enough about it. Maybe you think I'm ranking starlord too high but idk this guy has a lot of feats under his belt (that I know of because I read the gotg comics)
For the streets - Although rivals DD gets his powers from a demon, I still think that he is street level. I mean these are self-explanatory, they don't have enough hard or soft power to join the tier above. And are usually lone wolf types. Hmm. maybe I should move whitefox up.
Regular guys - They kick, punch and shoot people.
???? tier - Their characters are a mesh between a regular guy and a cosmic god/ regular god. It's really the 'whatever the fuck my higher power is feeling like today' tier list. Moonknight has great feats in comics, but I genuinely can't tell if he's hallucinating half of them. The hood has gotten his ass beat by wolverine but also slimed out doctor strange IN THE SAME COMIC RUN. truely the king of consistent writing he is. And that 'consistency' is taken to the extreme in rivals when his arcane sugar daddy is oblivion of all eldritch entities. So I've come to accept that these people can go into most, if not all, of these categories depending on the day.
ONCE AGAIN IM JUST EYEBALLING THIS LIST HALF THE TIME. I would love to hear what you'd change and why!
