Starting off, chihiro had such a rigid view of the enchanted blades and swords in general based on his father’s ideals, to “defeat evil and protect the weak.” But with each fight you can see not only all the other genuine perspectives on why the enchanted blades exist and how they should be used, but also how Chihiro slowly accepts that his rigid view was born from naivety.

What piques my interest the most about this is how even each singular ideal isn’t one-sided or black and white, the prime example being that both Kunishige and Akemura have the same ideals but COMPLETELY different ways of going about it, it’s genuinely so well written.

He reminds me a lot of Kurapika. The stoic, calm exterior but a warm heart underneath. Despite both of them being driven by vengeance, there are things they value above said vengeance.

For Chihiro, it’s protecting the weak and for Kurapika it’s protecting his companions

i was thinking what would be really cool is if instead of goldfish, it was koi fish since they both belong to the same carp family(Cyprinidae).

Although it would hurt having the Enten no longer being a representation of Chihiro’s memories with his father, I think it would be a really deep symbol for his growth(especially since koi are noticeably bigger than goldfish) and how Chihiro is carving his own path just like Kunishige wanted for him

the irishima talks were genuinely insane but I need to see more of that “ land, sea and air” fight that Shiba, hiroto, and yoshinojo were in. the fact that it got offscreened was so painful💔
