Working Out

Hey everyone!! I broke my ankle this week and realized my lack of upper body or core strength makes it incredibly difficult to get around. I want to know what workouts ya’ll are doing while still NWB. I’m also in my first year of college so while building my strength, I’m trying to avoid the freshman 15. Beinv immobile sucks and makes me unhappy. What are you guys doing to stay fit? My mobility aids are a knee scooter and crutches.

What do I do to heal my brain?

What are people doing to be intelligent? I feel like I can no longer think or do anything. I tried to write an email and it genuinely felt like torture. How can I build back what I’ve lost over the years because of lack of sleep and excessive screen use. I’m new to college and I have a broken ankle so I need my brain to be very very very sharp. My dream is to make it to a T10 medical school but right now I’m unmotivated and I can’t think. I can’t write, I can’t comprehend books that aren’t fantasy. Can someone please tell me what smart people are doing so I can start? What habits and hobbies should I try? I want to be able to think again.

Broke my ankle in college

So I go to college in New Orleans, I’m from WA. My family is very far away and I don’t really know anyone down here. I have crutches but they’re uncomfortable to move in, and I feel unsteady. I can’t really socialize or get sun because of the energy it takes to even get outside my dorm and back. I’ve spent most of the day in my room and not eating well. School starts in 3 days what should I do? Creative things to keep my spirit up and make things easier. I should note that my campus isn’t really accessible. There’s lots of potholes and bad patches of road plus not many ramps or automatic doors. I can’t even get food from the dining hall. I can’t go to the bathroom or shower because it’s communal and I’m afraid of infections and the overall disgustingness of my floor mates. I’m fine asking help from staff and admin but I don’t want to ask my peers because they’re all strangers and most people act annoyed. #whatdoido
