SafeSurf Should Not Exist

Spoilers, obviously!

>!What happens to SafeSurf at the end of the show is it goes on a light-sail probe at a considerable fraction of the speed of light to a distant star (e.g Alpha Centauri)!<

>!The problem with this is you cannot decelerate a solar probe- they're only meant for flybys (it would take a tremendous amount of energy to do this!)!<

>!Von-Neumann self replicating machines (what the seed probe was) need energy (often by Dyson swarms) and material (planets, usually) to replicate.!<

>!You'd assume SafeSurf seeded itself across the universe post s2 in the timewarp to get back to thank Caspian later, but this would be structurally impossible if all the probe did was fly by a distant star and never stop (space is a vacuum! Newton's 1st law) !<

>!one of the gripes I have hahaha!<

hi everyone, ik i'm early for a full review so i'm mainly looking for advice on how to spend the next three years building a strong application.

context:
international applicant at an ib school (top in my region)
australian and slovenian passport holder
full pay
interested in getting into a t20+

academics:
currently on track to get into aa hl, ive gotten ukmt gold twice and am looking to study for the amc 10 next year
i get 7s in everything except chemistry and french
myp predicted is a 53-54/56 sofar

testing:
i havent officially taken an sat yet but ive taken practice tests, mainly:
PSAT 8/9: 1420/1440
PSAT 10/11: 1430/1520
(both under test conditions, i intend to take the real sat next year w more prep these were done completely cold)

research/academic interests:
main interest is ai/ml/nlp
i've been working on an nlp paper with rigorous empirical testing, particularly aiming to get into JHSS (an older version here is avaliable on lesswrong): https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/vBDupg8iPqgdwhFzz/demands-are-all-you-need-prompt-imperativeness-drastically

currently revising to a 4 pg. short paper and strengthening methodology (i've already expanded to five trials and multiple judges)

programs thus far:
i've been accepted into the Tufts Pre-College Engineering w/ Artificial Intelligence as a rising sophomore
i'm the youngest avaliable applicant (it's rising 10-12th graders)

extracurriculars:
i run a youtube channel (https://youtube.com/@fluxxrider) with 15000 subscribers and over 2500 usd revenue generated (if you saw "How Minecraft Got This YouTuber Into Harvard, yes, that was me lmao)

i'm considering starting (a first in my school!) an ai club and eventually leading it to hackathons but am lost on how to do so

do let me know if yall have any advice! it's a long journey (i still have 2.5y lol) but i could do with help. thanks o7

Hey everyone, I decided to train and get a neural network that basically takes features of Pantheon characters and, like Akinator, tries to predict which character you're thinking of.

I've attached the Google Colab and added some instructions for how to run it.

Basically just click the cells in order and you can actually see it train itself as the loss drops (it's really satisfying)

example run: (caspian)

make sure you **make a copy** when you run! thanks <3
