Anyone got a clue what is happening here?

All his mates don't show any signs of this and he is acting and eating normally.

He is really old (don't know the exact age since he's a rescue, but his black colour has been faded ever since i've got him almost 10 years ago).

My research has yielded no results of this being an illness.

Is this just pigmentation change? A sign he'll kick the bucket soon due to his old age?

I'm unsure if is should be worried.

Any input would be highly valued.
