I fell down an internet rabbit hole and have been reading about GLP-1 medications potentially causing obstructions on patients who already have adhesions or previous surgery.
Im wondering if anyone who has had a bowel resection has gone on to use these medications without any recurrence of an obstruction?

4 weeks ago I had a laparotomy and small bowel resection due to adhesions from an appendicectomy 20 years ago. Going into the 4th week post-op I was rushed to hospital in an ambulance with severe abdominal pain and vomiting, I nearly lost consciousness. I was given IV morphine and anti sickness and admitted for the night. By the next day I was out of pain and told by the surgeon that it was adhesion colic. He said it could happen again but hopefully not.’ This is apparently adhesions forming from the recent bowel surgery. Has anyone experienced this or familiar with it? Did you have recurrences of it?
