I think my resume is good, but I'm getting nothing other than through networking.
I am targeting business development roles and open to any industry. You need to have a personality to be in sales, which I have. If I don't have a particular industry experience, I can educate myself about the product or service and sell it. I know I can; I've done it before! You can educate yourself about said product/service, but you can't suddenly educate yourself in having a personality for sales.
I'm currently in the DC area, which happens to have the highest unemployment in the country.
I'm open to relocating.
Tell us about your background and current employment situation: Diverse set of skills that can transfer into any industry can be an advantage or disadvantage. Can't get biz dev jobs because I don't have experience in product/service industry, but I can SELL! I don't hear a peep from jobs that I'm qualified. If I apply for a job that is junior for me, I'm seen as overqualified.
Tell us about your job-hunting situation: depressing and demoralizing.
Tell us why you're seeking help. (i.e., just fine-tuning, not getting called back for interviews, etc.): I don't know if it's me or the job climate.
