- I think my resume is good, but I'm getting nothing other than through networking.
- I am targeting business development roles and open to any industry. You need to have a personality to be in sales, which I have. If I don't have a particular industry experience, I can educate myself about the product or service and sell it. I know I can; I've done it before! You can educate yourself about said product/service, but you can't suddenly educate yourself in having a personality for sales.
- I'm currently in the DC area, which happens to have the highest unemployment in the country.
- I'm open to relocating.
- Tell us about your background and current employment situation: Diverse set of skills that can transfer into any industry can be an advantage or disadvantage. Can't get biz dev jobs because I don't have experience in product/service industry, but I can SELL! I don't hear a peep from jobs that I'm qualified. If I apply for a job that is junior for me, I'm seen as overqualified.
- Tell us about your job-hunting situation: depressing and demoralizing.
- Tell us why you're seeking help. (i.e., just fine-tuning, not getting called back for interviews, etc.): I don't know if it's me or the job climate.
- Is your citizenship status and visa situation playing a role in your job search? No, US citizen
