Stomach x clothing sensory issues/sensitivity?

Hoping to see if anyone else has this issue! A few things to note before for transparency; in July 2023 I suffered liver damage as a result of an accident (it was split in half, but regenerated without surgical intervention). In 2025 I had my gallbladder removed because I was having Biliary Colic attacks (they started in February and lasted until it was removed Aug 2025). I do have pretty bad issues with menstrual cramping, but I’ve never been diagnosed with endo, or anything similar. I was previously 185 lbs before losing 60 lbs thanks in part to the two organ mishaps mentioned above. When I was heavier like this I did prefer more oversized looks, but I don’t remember fitted bottoms or dresses ever being an issue back then.
^ just wanted to make sure I mentioned these things up front in case anyone has experienced sensitivity based on these details.

Within the last year and a half I’ve been having a very hard time wearing any clothes that I consider “too tight”. I use quotations because in reality the clothes that seem to be tight are technically my size or the size up. Despite the fact that the clothes fit (zip and button without issues) I get the overwhelming feeling that they are pressing against my stomach (even low rise styles). It’s gotten to the point where I need to wear clothes that are two sizes bigger before I feel like that perceived pressure is off of my abdomen - even sweatpants need to be L-XL or I feel like someone is sitting on my gut. I know it doesn’t seem like a huge deal - clothes are just clothes - but it’s becoming an issue because I prefer pants and dresses that are simply too big and they end up falling down or looking crazy. Belts give me the same feeling, if I tighten a belt past one notch I start to feel this haunting pressure, but you can’t really buy belts that aren’t your size because they won’t work.

Because this largely seems/feels like something my brain is making up, I know there isn’t really a solution other than simply wearing the clothes that don’t stress my mind or body.

I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this after organ problems or surgery.

The Drs can’t find anything else in my stomach that might be causing the issue, so of course they suggest other solutions such as cutting out alcohol, certain foods, vapes (which I have done but it doesn’t seem to help so now I’m more curious).
