I just wanted to share my POSITIVE experience with an infusion. I was seriously freaking out. My ferritin was 5 and my iron was 28. I got an INFeD infusion 4 weeks ago, which is only 1 infusion as opposed to 2 with Feraheme or 4 with Venofer. The infusion went off without a hitch. I really had no side effects. Maybe a little stomach upset and slight bloating for 2 weeks. The bloating subsided and I feel way less bloated than before the infusion. I have more energy, color in my face and my knee pain has subsided. No weight gain. My ferritin is now 111! And iron 99. My iron binding capacity went significantly down, which is great. Just sharing that it has helped me for the better. I do have heavy periods, so hopefully that won’t affect me too much. I’m very glad I got the infusion.
