Hello My adorable almost 16 yr old boy Maltese needs tooth cleaning as per the vet. I’ve hesitated the past 4 years but the vet insists it’s best for his health. I expect there will be several extractions during the cleaning…and I am very scared.
Should I proceed with dental cleaning & extractions? I am afraid about the anesthesia…about how he will manage to eat afterward…about his tongue that will get dry while hanging out permanently …..and of course about his pain and discomfort post surgery. Is all this worth it at this age? Please advise!!!
