Love their chemistry and interactions as friends, they were spotted today filming an episode of Keep Running. Super excited to see them in their upcoming drama Mo Li!

Romance lover here, and for me a pairing has to have romantic chemistry, whether it’s soft and comforting or intense and passionate. It’s honestly both a blessing and a curse because once you watch a couple with that kind of chemistry, it becomes hard not to notice when other pairings just don’t hit the same, even if they’re still good.

For me, Zhang Jingyi and Arthur Chen in Lighter & Princess had insanely good chemistry. They had this undeniable on-screen spark that made every interaction feel natural and magnetic.

So which pairing had chemistry so good that it either raised your standards forever or still hasn’t been topped since?

Today at the booting ceremony of his new drama with Wang Churan. Deng Kai will be playing 2nd male lead.

During a photo someone asked Chen Zheyuan to go stand next to Deng Kai which exposed their height difference, you could see the moment he has to stand next time he was like oh no😂. This tiptoe stunt is something he has done before including at a fan event with a female fan who was much taller than him for a picture.

We've seen this formula work so well before, couples like Bai Lu & Luo Yunxi and Esther Yu & Ding Yuxi worked so well the 2nd time in a different genre.

Personally, I'd love to see Lu Yuxiao and Wang Xingyue get another chance together. Perfect Match didn't do their chemistry nearly enough justice.

And Wang Anyu & Zhao Lusi are such an interesting case, their costume drama somehow didn't translate their chemistry on screen well, but their promotions together had so much chemistry!! A modern drama could really unlock something special there.

If you think about your favourite romance dramas, would they still rank as highly for you if there were no kiss scenes at all? Do you feel that chemistry, tension, and character interactions carry more weight or do you think a well placed kiss is sometimes needed to elevate the relationship and make it truly memorable?

I remember when Be Passionately in Love came out, a lot of people were disappointed that Liu Haocun had a no kissing clause for all her dramas. But imo, I still felt like she and Wang Anyu had strong chemistry. It made me wonder whether kiss scenes are as essential as people think, or if good writing and performances can carry a romance just as well because it should be the foundation.

Like Prisoner of beauty had a nice steamy kiss scene, but would the romance/chemistry still be memorable for you without it?

Curious to hear what everyone else thinks 👀

Love Bai Lu. I would watch anything she is in, and I usually enjoy all her dramas. But the recent Unveil Jadewind did nothing for me. She looked fantastic visually, but for some reason, I feel like this wasn't her best.

Saw this clip from Rebirth and I think they did a really great job making him look older with the styling and makeup. It felt pretty convincing to me. Does anyone else agree?

I’m not trying to box them in because I really enjoy watching actors explore different kinds of roles, but there are certain types of characters where they just feel especially compelling to me.

Cheng Lei is incredible when he plays cold, stoic, or slightly unsettling characters like in My Journey to You. He has this ability to express so much without speaking, which makes his performances feel very controlled and intense ⚔️

Liu Xueyi is someone I love watching in unhinged roles. He does that kind of instability so well and brings a genuinely intimidating energy. In Princess Gambit he was especially impressive in the first half, showing just how ruthless and calculating he can be. He also leaned into that same chaotic edge in Kill Me Love Me 💣🩸

Zhang Linghe feels naturally suited to romance. There is something about the way he uses his eyes to express affection and love that really stands out, and his kiss scenes are always memorable ❤️‍🔥

Dilraba has this almost hypnotic presence when she plays powerful characters like in Love on the Turquoise Land and Love Beyond the Grave. That commanding, dominant energy she brings to those roles is just so captivating 👌

Anyone else super excited to see the final product of this drama? Both are really good actors plus I'm really excited to see their chemistry! I can't wait for a full trailer! 🥰
