A novel for teenagers. The story is set on a huge ship, where I believe the whole of humanity is sailing. It’s set in the style of the English Industrial Revolution, with social classes. The plot involves the ship’s future captain and a young woman from the lower decks (lots of coal). She manages to climb up and infiltrate the society on the upper decks, and it seems to me that they’re going to help each other and perhaps fall in love?
