I've been playing games like Marvel Rivals and Overwatch for a while, but I'm tired of the competitive aspect and want to go back to PvE style games. I am looking for a shooter that has some RPG elements like skill trees, roles, or character-specific abilities. Even better if it has some kind of progression system.

Destiny 2 and Warframe are great examples of the type of game I'm looking for. Not because of the futuristic/space aspect, but because of the gunplay, abilities/skills, missions, and multiplayer PvE landscapes.

I've tried both Helldivers 2 and Deep Rock Galactic, but neither one scratched the itch. I'm open to any suggestions, but it does need to be playable on PS5.
