Inventory Tablets on Rolling Stands… Anyone Still Using These at Scale?
Someone on our ops team suggested rolling tablet stands for inventory instead of handheld scanners.
The idea is staff can move aisle to aisle and update stock directly instead of going back to fixed stations.
Pilot phase actually looked promising.
But I keep thinking about what happens when this scales across dozens of stores… floors aren’t perfect, carts are everywhere, and anything mobile usually ages differently than expected.
Has anyone actually made this work long term?
