When is a good time to follow up after hearing you'll get a 'next steps' e-mail??

Hello all! This is my first reddit post!

Last Wednesday (May 6) I went into an interview for an Administrative Assistant position, and while there, the woman i interviewed with said i was selling myself short and that i could (and should) be considered for a wedding planner specialist position, since I'm interested in event planning n have good foundational experience. She even brought in the director of sales and a wedding planner specialist to sus me out and ask questions, and we had great conversation!

she said she wanted me to also meet the VP, who asks a TON of questions, and that they are looking for 2-3 planners.

I kept it cute + cordial, and after the interview I sent a thank you e-mail like i always do (to the primary hr email, which was all i had) and they shot back with "thank you for letting us know your interest in being a wedding planner! we have cc'd [interviewer name] to provide you with next steps."

That was the day I interviewed, May 6th. I haven't heard anything yet. When would be a good time to reach out without sounding impatient or bossy? And WHAT should i say??

Sorry for the long post, some background was needed.

P.S. (Please send EXCELLENT vibes!!! Going on month 10 of no job + job search and it is Brutal out here, and I really, REALLY need and want this position.)
