Hi everyone, I’m planning my first via ferrata (around K2/K3 or K3). I own a pair of Meindl Island GTX leather boots, which are quite heavy, weighing about 1.6 kg per pair. I handle 25–30 km daily hikes in mountainous terrain with them just fine, so my main concern is safety, given that they are stiff, high-cut boots. If possible, I’d like to dodge spending over 300 euros on another pair of boots. Thanks!
