Philippines is my home! At I defend ko ang bayang to against those na manira sa dignidad nito. Lalapain man tayo ng bagyo, mga pangkulto na politiko, at mga salot. Hinding-hindi ako lilipat ng ibang bansa para lamang sa pera. Hangang may pagasa itong bayan ko o hindi man ay magisisi ako.
Ipinganak ako sa bayang ito na hindi ko pinili. Ngunit ang inang bayan ang siyang naghirap para ma mabuhay ako. Minahal ko ang bayang ito sukad pagka bata ko. Tatlong mga grupo ng islang—tinawag ng Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao. At sa tatlong iyon ay nasa Visayas ako. Proud and ready na haharapin ang pag aaral ko. Well, kung matawag ba iyong paga-aral. Yet either way, na honor ako.
In truth nakita ko ito sa isang strongman na tinawag nilang Duterte. Matapang, Magarbo, at Makabansa na maraming gusto I Presidente. Well, isa pa ay humble siya na iniidolo ko sa naive na isipan ko. Siya ang aking bayani na nagsugpo sa masasama.
Ngunit, sa tinuoray siya at ang kaniyang pamilya ay purong bastos. Glorifying gore and blood as justice instead of due process. Hell! It's not even drugs that is the true culprit of our nation's suffering. Rather, hundreds of denied problems. Why? I don't know...
Thus I abandoned his ideology and dug for the truth. Even though I will suffer behind enemy lines. As of now, I stood for my country that I'm truly proud of.
I dug too much to fear that populism will destroy this country. Marcoses in their prime as a dictatorship. Hitler and his NSDAP taking over democracy to replace it with his ideals. Trump's MAGA, now leading a war that further antagonized America. Among many others.
And as a Filipino, it's my duty na nasa katotohanan ako pumanig. Hindin sa pulitika o sa pera, kundi sa aking pinakamamahal na bansa. Wakoy pakialam sa mga DDS. Wakoy pakialam sa mga Leftist. Hell! I don't even consider my political compass when making this rant. All I care about is this country. As this country is worth dying for.
Call me dumb or naive. Idealistic, or blind... But as a citizen of a democracy that I didn't choose but chose me. I will try best and do my duty. To lead this country as a youth with what I can do. So I can give the next a nation more worthy fighting for.
