Newly diagnosed picking up equipment
I’m newly diagnosed with severe complex central and obstructive sleep apnea. I am being told that I have had this my whole life and I am going to be amazed at how good I will feel once I start using the ASV machine.
I am scared and also pissed that I have to sleep in a full face mask (I have had four sleep studies since December and finally landed on the ASV machine because CPAP, BiPap and BiPap ST were not resolving my sleep disturbances. And my moth opens so I was told I need the full mask).
I am picking up the equipment tomorrow. Is there anything I should be asking? Is it hard to set up at home? Do I have to worry about my cats or animals with the equipment?
What do you wish you would have asked or what do you wish you knew before starting machine therapy?
