Something learned I guess. Last year grew nasturtiums here which they loved hiding in and breeding there. Seems like a bunch of their eggs have overwintered and hatched in the area, and there not being much if any dead material for them to feed on, they've resulted to feeding on the seedlings.
I had thought it was slug damage but today I've discovered what it really was. Can't bring myself to kill them since they're generally beneficial (not in situations like this though)
Won't be planting any nasturtiums near the vegetables from now on and also won't plant any seedlings in areas where their populations will be high in
