Hello, I’m hitting a wall trying to enable ADB/Developer Options on my XTRONS PX7 head unit (Android 14). I need ADB access to debloat the system (UAD-ng) since there's lots of "trash" pre-installed.
The Current State:
- Build Number: Grayed out and non-interactive in Settings.
- Backdoors: There is no stock Calculator app, and the Bluetooth Dialer codes (like
*#*#3646633#*#*) auto-delete without launching any menus. - Google Account: I am logged in, but there are no "Device Admin" apps or "Work Profiles" active.
- Launchers: Activity Launcher/Shortcut Maker find the
DevelopmentSettingsactivity, but it fails to launch with a "Not enabled yet" message.
What I’ve achieved so far:
- Accessed a hidden "Debug Setting" menu using code
0000122in Factory Settings. Tried0000but neither of these menus have a clear ADB toggle. - I toggled "Allow Debug" and "Activity Debug" to ON.
- Despite these toggles and a reboot, the
adb connect [IP]:5555command is "Actively Refused" by the target machine. - Terminal Emulator: Attempting to
setproporstart adbdlocally fails with "Must be root" or "Permission Denied."
The Hardware:
- Unit: XTRONS PX7 platform.
- OS: Android 14.
- MCU: (If you have this version number from your 'About' screen, paste it here).
Question: Has anyone encountered this specific firmware lock? Is there a second code or a specific file (like adbon.txt or a factory_config.xml) I need to put on a USB stick to force the ADB daemon to start?
I’m trying to avoid a full firmware flash if possible.
Thank you in advance!
