Would this power be too outlandish

I don’t feel like explaining my power system and character background again unless someone wants me to (Reddit keeps deleting everything I write)
My character Hugo can manipulate friction based on how HE thinks it should work, my idea was what if he hears about friction working between his muscle fibers, by increasing the friction in his muscles it causes super human muscle growth and the ability to passively generate heat as long as he’s moving. His nickname is Hugo the shark because is he stops moving his muscles to return to normal and a massive decrease in speed. This wouldn’t be something he uses all the time because it causes massive strain on his body and organs.
Hugo’s powers work exactly how he thinks, this is important because Hugo doesn’t actually know anything about friction.
