The Hollow: a natural marine cenote and pirate safe haven.
The Hollow is a 90’ deep, 120’ wide sinkhole on the island of Shadestone, and the seat of the Hollow King and the seven pirate lords, as well as a host of pirate companies that roam the East Isles. During high tide, a river of seawater flows in raising the water level by up to 40 feet every tide cycle. The many tunnels and structures that make up the raider refuge are shared by both land lubbers and water breathing buccaneers alike, and are occupied by such depending on the current tides. Yarr to the plunderers! Yarr to the companies! Yarr to the Hollow King!
This was a blast to build and was a huge payoff with a campaign-altering and destructive Kraken fight.
