Central Europe mid-budget travel in Jan/Feb 2027
Hello, european and worldwide backpacker/traveller friends!!!
I'm going to have a mid-budget-type travel through Central Europe, starting in Munich, between January 25 and February 10, in 2027. Yes, yes... i know... "Gloomy and depressed winters, avoid at all cost! Grey weather!" Well... I'm absolutely GLAD about it! I live in a city that is an absolute HELL all year around, except some specific months (June to August).
I'm Brazilian, and here, where i live (Rio...), it's a BOILING summer ALL YEAR AROUND (except those said months, i guess in those the weather similar to your spring weather, like, between 20°C and 25°C, am i right?). Well, i HATE the heat in general, I'm DEFINITELY NOT into beaches, I actually feel DEPRESSED when temperatures are above 27°C... so... i HATE this climate, with all my bitterness powers. I wish we were having a global FREEZING instead of a global warming.
Being that said, what do you, my German/Austrian/Czech/travellers in general colleagues, recomend to do during my time in those cities? I intend to stay like... 3 full days in Munich (maybe 4, if a day trip to a different city is included), and after that, 4 days in Prague, 3 or 4 days in Vienna and then 3 days in Budapest, and after the full round trip, returning to Munich (everything by train).
YES! I love the European Winter, I have experienced it in the last winter, and I LOVED it! Well, I've travelled to places that are considered less cold (Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Porto...) than Central Europe near Alps, of course, but man, I LOVED the coldest days! I guess I was born in the wrong city and/or country...
Well, as an average Brazilian, I'm not used to see snow, and I would like to have this beautiful and life-changing experience near the Alps in this travel. I accept plenty of advices from people from these countries or that have travelled to them, about everything, first time in all those countries :)
Btw, flights already booked, i've been monitoring for some months and i guess I've found a good price for flighs (Rio-Munich and Munich-Rio), +- 800 euros.
Oh, and I intend doing all the inter-city-country travels by train. I am an autistic enthusiast of trains, and also I love watching the landscape, even if it costs some Euros more :)
