My application was straightforward. After religiously checking this subreddit and this mega thread almost every day for the last 8 months I am so ecstatic to finally get approved and officially become a British citizen after living in this country since I was a little kid. I called my council yesterday and booked the earliest available date for the ceremony and I paid private because my plans are to travel to the USA this summer for the 2026 World Cup and it looks like I am going to my British passport in time. I just didn’t want to go through the lengthy tourist visa application process. It feels so good to finally be approved. Good luck to all those waiting, stay patient and GOD SAVE THE KING 🇬🇧 x
