Is this dog involved in dog fights? What can I do to help it?
This dog hangs around a post office a lot that I sometimes go to. Every time I do it’s very hungry and skinny looking, so I always give it lots of treats. It backs away whenever most people try to pet it, tucks its tail in a lot, and generally acts very shy and scared. I’ve never heard it growl once.
The scars on its face really worry me. It lives with another pitbull that my dad has seen be very aggressive, so I’m worried they’re fighting, or worse, it’s involved in dog fights. My area doesn’t seem like one where anyone would do dog fights, but I can never really know.
Whether or not it’s in dog fights, it’s clearly abused. What can I do to help this poor puppy?
