Coolant Leak from Back of Engine around Bell Housing no
Hi, I apologize if this has been covered, however I’ve tried to search for answers and haven’t found any.
I have a 6.0 LS in a 2003 Hummer H2 that is leaking coolant from the back of the engine around and in the bell housing. I just pulled the intake and put new gaskets on the block off caps for the rear coolant bypass pipe, and I can see that coolant isn’t leaking from the freeze plugs on the back of the head. At this point, I’m thinking that the head gaskets have an external leak but I want to be sure before diving into that. I cannot for the life of me find where the leak is originating from because it’s really tight on the back of the motor. I also can confirm it isn’t coming from the heater core connections. I also pressure tested the cooling system with the intake off but it only leaks when the engine is running so I didn’t find anything there. Any help is greatly appreciated!
