[FL] What should i do regarding micro aggressions in the workplace?
Hey everyone, I have been working at one of the top 3 banks and have had issues with microaggressions. I currently work in Miami-Dade and the market is 90% spanish. I have heard many microaggressions from my coworkers and manager about how they don’t hire people who don’t speak spanish. It does hurt my feelings and have heard comments from the customers that are rude and my coworkers tell me what they said in English. Some things are better left unsaid in my opinion. They are also racist to people of color.
My manager is a trump supporter and made it clear. The workplace is no place for politics and I have no care for them. It’s when they make it public and clear when it creates a hostile work environment. I said I have jury duty and they said just say you’re racist meanwhile I am the only black person who works there. They also have made anti Semitic comments and every black person who comes in, they say they’re criminals and that they’re nothing.
Where should I go with this? Also this manager aspires to be a district manager and having these thoughts and comments are not ok.
