We're trying to trap a feral that's been around our house for a few years and has injured another of our cats. Our vet only performs TNR surgeries on Tuesdays, so we put our trap out tonight with the hope of getting him in tomorrow. He actually was in the trap and the door shut, but the cardboard that we had placed in the bottom of the cage kept the door from latching and he was able to push the door open. Is there any hope that we might be able to catch him again (without the cardboard), or are we just out of luck since he'll be avoiding the trap now?
