Im a 20 year old male who was diagnosed with Crohn’s at 15. My disease is limited to the colon (no small intestine involvement).
Treatment history: Started Remicade early on, worked for ~6 months then lost response.
Switched to Entyvio and achieved remission for a while, but it eventually stopped working as well which led to chronic bleeding.
Now my doctor is starting me on Rinvoq, and i wanted to hear how it’s been for others.
My main symptoms during flares are pretty mild, but mainly bloody stool. I don’t usually deal with much pain, urgency, diarrhea, cramps, unless my flare goes wild of course (which has only happened once in 5 years).
I have never had acne or skin issues in general, even as a teenager or while on Prednisolone. I say this because for some, Rinvoq triggers acne.
Im mainly wondering:
How well did Rinvoq work for you?
How long did it take to notice improvement?
Any side effects especially acne or skin related issues?
Did it help specifically with bleeding?
Would really appreciate hearing any experiences (good or bad). Thanks in advance!
