Europeans made me stop

I’m writing this for a very specific smoker personality.

Visited Italy for 2 weeks, the constant secondhand smoke from European cigarettes made me quit.

I’ve been a light smoker for 6 years now. 2-5 a day, none on bad weather days, hardly any during winters, only in my car on a drive so definitely not the typical smoker. Been meaning to just stop soon as I don’t get withdrawal symptoms or anything.

Went to Italy with my non smoking friends and I don’t publicize me smoking. Knew I wasn’t going to be smoking on my trip but if one was offered after a few drinks or something, I’d be down. Tried half of one. Very strong, not good tasting, the secondhand smoke was appalling.

Constantly being bombarded in crowds with someone else’s secondhand smoke for 2 weeks made me become literally queasy and thinking about coming home and picking up my pack has made me literally stop.

I know this isn’t a general smoker population fix, but maybe for the right person who is going to Europe sometime this might be helpful.
