What puppy food do/did you feed your Toller?

Our pup has been itching himself incessantly the last few weeks and have checked him for any skin problems with no avail. So we are considering switching his protein of food from chicken to salmon. He currently is eating Purina Pro Plan Puppy chicken and rice, as he was with the breeder. He was fine up until a few weeks ago we noticed he was itching much more than he previously was. We are planning to gradually incorporate Purina pro plan puppy salmon and rice. But I’m curious if any of your tollers seem to have problems with chicken and if so what do you feed them? How long does it take to notice if it was the chicken? If chicken ends up not being the problem, what’s next?
