I’m in my final year of STEM OPT with a biomedical engineering degree. If my employer doesn’t sponsor me, I’m considering switching to nursing (either a BSN or an entry-level MSN) as a pathway toward long-term residency.

My main question:

If I complete a second bachelor’s (BSN) and later pursue a master’s, would I still be eligible for OPT again at the master’s level?

Also, would going straight into an entry-level MSN be a better move than doing a second bachelor’s?

Any advice on the best path forward—or alternative visa/options to consider after OPT—would be really appreciated.
