Hi all,

I recently passed the French driving test and applied through ANTS for issuance of my first French driving licence.

At the time of my application, my titre de séjour had expired, but I had already submitted a renewal application and was issued an Attestation de Prolongation d'Instruction (API) through ANEF. My understanding is that this document maintains my right to stay in France while the renewal application is being processed and has the same effect as a récépissé for a renewal application.

I uploaded to ANTS:

- My expired titre de séjour
- My valid API
- All other required documents

ANTS replied with the following:
"Selon nos vérifications ce titre est administrativement invalide. Je vous invite donc à saisir le service de la préfecture émetteur de ce titre afin de corriger l'anomalie ou obtenir un nouveau titre."

They did not say that the API is invalid or insufficient. Instead, they seem to be saying that the previous residence permit itself appears as "administratively invalid" in their system.
I have now contacted the prefecture to investigate whether there is an error in their records.

Has anyone faced similar issues?
