Hi there. Some of you might look at this and wonder how my house hasn’t already burned down 😭

Yesterday, I did laundry as usual. When I removed the clothes, they smelled horribly like cigarettes and campfire. Im 99% sure there was a small fire?

The dark brown mark has been there since before we moved in, but not sure if its gotten worse overtime…

I scrubbed it with a bristle brush and it indeed, smells like the culprit.

How do I remove the grate so I can clear this all out? The vacuum isn’t strong enough.

(I am also going to vacuum the back vent as well when I do all of this.)

This is a Whirlpool dryer btw if this is needed information.
