Hi all, I’m not really on this subreddit, and I’m not quite sure if this is the right place, but hoping someone might be able to give some insight here! I’ve had a job interview for a care role at a children’s residential home. I was excited about the interview and job. Although, mid interview they had a section of reflection, and asked me quite personal things like “what childhood experiences did you have that might impact the job?” (Like any childhood trauma etc.) “what are your triggers?” “What coping mechanisms do you use?”. Whilst I kinda understand why they were asked, I didn’t think questions were allowed to be so… invasive(?) it felt very strange sharing quite personal information to someone that I just met, and I thought that would be more of a during the job conversation with the boss. My friend who has done a similar job said that these are not normal questions to be asked in a care interview, and I was just wondering what everyone else thought of this, and what everyone else’s experiences might be with job interviews?
