As not everyone here knows Russian lore, it might be worth mentioning, that Pavlik Morozov is a legendary figure who ratted his parents to KGB because his parents reportedly were enemies of the state. The story is widely considered to be forged by Soviet propaganda.

We only learn Pavel's surname after he captures Artyom, so it doesn't foreshadow his treachery, but adds some color to it.
