I'm just curious what ppl have tried for heel construction styles and what they liked or disliked about the ones they've tried. I learned to knit socks with German short row heels and am willing to try other heel types starting with my next sock project (already working on a current pair with short row heels). I've heard of afterthought, kiss flip, and heel flap, I'msure there are others that are just less popular or less utilized nowadays.

Also, dipping my toes into colorwork socks, I find toe up works better for my fit since I have very wide feet and a narrower ankle. I don't do the stretchy bindoff since the sock turns out to slouchy for my taste. Size women's 5-5.5.
