Wanted to try out a black colour i bought and did a simple sketch and painting of this manchurian woman :)

(Firstly i have to say i have not experimented with white much when painting with watercolour)

So basically i wanted to paint a white peacock like for example this lil guy but i dont really know how to start it do i start out with shadowing out his body with blue or grey?

So pls help any tips help!
