She went to the pharmacy to pick up the prep solutions, but apparently there was a problem and the solutions weren't there. She called the gastro and they recommended some OTC laxatives which she didn't buy. Instead, she mixed a couple of scoops (tbs?) of Epsom salts into some water. She plans to take more.

I told her I couldn't find instances of people doing this and she said it was old school.

I encouraged her to follow the doctor's orders. She said they were incompetent..

It seems like it might work and she says she has done it before.

Could this work? Are there any glaring dangers? Will this clear her out enough?

She is 74, no history of kidney issues.
