I was a DPS one-trick back when I started playing for many months because all my favourite characters were Duelists.
That is until they added Gambit who was my favourite from the X-Men cartoons and that motivated me to learn Strategist and now Gambit is my only Champion character.
We have a shortage of Vanguards and its time tank players get another iconic character. A lot of people want Cyclops as a Duelist but especially after Black Cat being another Duelist after Elsa (and DP technically) and the fact that at this point we have way too many DPS's and DPS players who don't flex to other roles, even some Deadpool mains would rather stay as a third DPS and not cover other roles when they can stay on the same character.
I really hope Netease makes Cyclops a Vanguard and not just a random off-tank either who needs Mag, Strange or Groot to be viable, If they make Scott a Vanguard that can be the number one option leading his team into battle, that can seriously be a step in the right direction to get more people to play Vanguard especially when they can cook up some real depth to his kit as a Tank just like they did with Rogue.
