I was hoping to hear some insight about others’ experiences. I currently assist on an 8u team where some favoritism appears to be guiding decision making. We have not won a game at the halfway point, and we are not rotating to ensure equal ABs and experience in the field. Overall, our current lineup is moderately competitive.
I did some analysis with our stats that shows how to improve the lineup. The problem is that it exposes major holes in the game of some of the favored kids, including the head coach’s kid.
Should I send this to the coach chat? Are we at the point where we just have to accept this? I feel bad for the kids who are getting slighted, including my own. And no one wants to come out and watch loss after loss without any adjustment. Thanks
