I have a 4 in 1 apple tree that I planted about 18 months ago. I've done a lot of reading on pruning, but I'm still at a bit of a loss as to what my next steps are and would love any opinions.
My dog unfortunately chewed several of the bottom branches, which are 3 of the 4 varieties. In the photo this is the blue tag, the white tag, and the branch on the bottom left without a tag. I am thinking I need to take some of the height off the top, but not sure how low to bring it. We had a snowstorm yesterday so some of the top branches are also a bit droopy from that. I know the branch with the white tag is also at a very narrow angle to the main trunk, but that's the only branch I have of that variety, so unsure how to best deal with that one. Thanks in advance!
